Student demand for accommodation in the Czech Republic significantly exceeds available capacity
The number of university students in the Czech Republic rose by 5% year on year to 330,500 in the 2025/2026 academic year, the fastest rate of growth in several years. Over the same period, student accommodation capacity increased by just 0.3% to 68,100 beds.
