Cushman & Wakefield Arranges First U.S. Lease for WeWearAustralian in SoHo

NEW YORK, N.Y. – March 20, 2026 – Cushman & Wakefield announced that it arranged a 5,000-square-foot retail lease for WeWearAustralian at 69 Mercer Street, marking the international retailer’s debut in the United States. The unique concept, which serves as a department store exclusive to Australian brands, will occupy a prime location in the heart of SoHo. 

A Cushman & Wakefield team of Ian Lerner, Ed Nelson and Alan Wildes represented the tenant, WeWearAustralian, in the transaction. The landlord is PEP Real Estate.

WeWearAustralian provides a unique platform for Australian brands seeking to enter the U.S. market, and 69 Mercer Street offers an ideal setting to showcase these brands to a global audience.” 

The space at 69 Mercer Street includes 2,500 square feet on the ground floor and 2,500 square feet on the lower level. The building is situated in a highly sought-after block between Spring and Broome Streets, surrounded by premier boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. 

The prime SoHo property offers excellent visibility and foot traffic. It features a private key-locked elevator and is conveniently located within minutes of 11 different subway lines, including the N, R, Q, A, C, E, 4, 5, and 6 trains, providing outstanding accessibility for shoppers across the city.
