About

Álvaro is a Partner and Head of Living at Cushman & Wakefield in Spain, and a member of the firm's Board in Spain. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in December 2025 as part of the firm's strategy to strengthen its advisory capabilities in the Living sector — spanning build-to-rent, student housing, senior living, and residential land and assets — as well as to reinforce synergies between the Spain and Portugal markets.

Álvaro brings more than 20 years of experience in financial and strategic real estate advisory, with a specialization in M&A, direct investment, financing, and special situations. He joined Cushman & Wakefield from EY, where he led M&A advisory services for the financial sector within the Strategy and Transactions practice, and previously spent a long stretch of his career at Colliers International.

Among his recent transactions, Álvaro advised on the acquisition of a student residence in Barcelona's 22@ district by Ardian and Rockfield, and structured a joint venture between Germany's ECE Work & Live and Layetana Living for residential development in Spain. He is a frequent commentator on the Spanish residential investment market, including on investment trends, capital flows, and supply-demand dynamics in the sector.
